piñatas

Overwhelmed by the 2020 global health crisis, I coped by focusing on fun in my painting, since it has been sadly weeded out of our weekend routines, one cancelled event at a time. Fun takes many forms, and in this series, it’s displayed in the shape of piñatas of various color schemes. Not to mention that each piñata assumes it’s own sense of personality and hilarity. This series was a definite act of humorous self soothing.
