I was raised hearing the tales from Aesop’s fables and Native legends, where every animal has its complicated life like ours; a wise story to tell and a playful relationship with other animals that are worth examining with a more detailed eye. When painting creatures, I enjoy applying personality to it’s presence, poise, behaviors and expression to imply a continuation of this individual’s life and adventure, and the ability to magically peak into this vignette to learn more deeply about them.
